Pathport DMX Management Systems Pathport DMX Management Systems
As DMX512 distribution systems become larger and more complex, encompassing many universes, the ability of production electricians to organise and manage all their DMX data becomes critical. Pathport DMX management provides you with a means to send the necessary channels to the right location every time, regardless of universe boundaries or source console.

With in-built softpatch, merge and priority functionality, Pathport provides you with the tools necessary to organise your DMX system so that it works for you, not the other way around. System configuration is done using free Pathport Manager software, running on your Windows, Mac or Linux computer.

Pathport uses standard Ethernet wiring plans and distribution, so infrastructure planning is easy. Pathport was also the first device to take advantage of power-over-Ethernet (POE) technology, which means simplified wiring and a single-connection for portable Pathport nodes.

Pathport products are available in one, two and four port versions, for portable, fixed installation and rack mount use.

Many projects require a variety of wired-in DMX512 devices. Pathway's economical eDIN line provides DMX interfaces and distribution products packaged to take advantage of the convenient DIN rail mounting system. eDIN products just snap in a DIN rail equipped enclosure, readily available around the world. Powering eDIN products is easy, since they can run off a wide range of power sources, from 9-30V, AC or DC, depending upon what's available.

Pathway's eDIN range includes:
  • DMX Opto-splitters. Four outputs, both standard and RDM versions.
  • DMX Contact Closures. Twelve outputs, momentary and maintained.
  • DMX-to-Analog. Sixteen outputs, configurable to 0-10, 0-15, 0-2.5, & 0-5VDC.
  • Analog-to-DMX. Twenty-four inputs, in-built merger for daisy-chaining.
  • DMX Merger. Two DMX inputs into one. Also functions as an A/B switch.
  • DMX LED Driver. Smooth DMX control of LEDs with 2,000 step fades.

Pathway's opto-splitters are designed for rugged durability. As opto-splitters are always mission-critical, we have removed all the common failure points to create an incredibly robust piece of gear, designed for real life professional use.

While most opto-splitters have five outputs, we have six or more, under the assumption that you always need more.

While most opto-splitters have fuses, we have none. Instead, we have used clever self-healing switch technology to protect the outputs.

While most opto-splitters use heavy transformers on each output, we use high-tech, low weight solid-state components to perform the same function, reducing weight and freight.

When there is a fault with most opto-splitters, you have no idea where to start your troubleshooting. We provide a cable test function for each input and output, to help you to quickly identify cable problems.

Pathway opto-splitters are available as a six-way standard version or an eight-way Pro version with RDM support.
